TRENDY CUT
(Women’s trendy cut for Autumn–Winter 2019)
Completion time – students: 50 minutes Completion time – adults: 35 minutes
Conditions of attendance:
The number of students who can register to take part in the competition from one school (either regular students or adult students) is unlimited. The total limit for one topic is 40 contestants.
The task of the contestants is to create a trendy women’s cut for Autumn–Winter 2019. Contestants are permitted to design a creative, extravagant female haircut.
Prescribed clothing: Relevant to the topic.
Topic: Trendy cut
Hair colour: There must be a minimum of 2 colours. The overall impression – how the hairstyle matches the make-up and clothing – will also be assessed.
Hair specifications: The hair must be at least 15 cm long. When creating the hairstyle, it must be shortened by a minimum of 3 cm. At the beginning, the model will have wet hair that is combed backwards.
It is permitted: To cut, style and arrange the hair according to one’s own preference.
To use combs, brushes, hair-dryers, scissors, thinning scissors, clippers and hair fixation means.
It is forbidden: To use coloured hairsprays. To have the haircut partially prepared in advance. To use wigs, half wigs and hairpieces. The hair must not be extended in any way.
If any of these criteria are not adhered to, it may affect the score or it could mean a disqualification of the contestant.

COMMERCIAL WEDDING HAIRSTYLE
Completion time – students: 60 minutes Completion time – adults: 40 minutes
Conditions of attendance:
The number of students who can register to take part in the competition from one school (either regular students or adult students) is unlimited. The total limit for one topic is 40 contestants.
The task for the contestants is to create an updo from long hair, which should draw inspiration from current trends.
The hairstyle must not be technical!!!
Clothing: Relevant to the topic.
Hair colour: The choice of hair colour is open. It is permitted to use only one hair colour. However, a maximum of two colours can be used.
Hair specification: The hair must not be prepared in advance. It can be dry or wet, and should be combed backwards.
Hair length: The hair must be at least shoulder-length, but it can be longer.
It is permitted: To style and arrange the hair according to one’s own preference.
To use combs, thermo brushes, electric hair machines, clips, hair pins, pads and hairpieces which were not prepared in advance. Decorations and hairpieces must not cover more than 20% of the hairstyle. To use styling fixation means. To adjust the hairstyle by cutting.

Modern men’s haircut – free topic without criteria
Completion time – students: 50 minutes Completion time – adults: 35 minutes
Conditions of attendance:
The number of students who can register to take part in the competition from one school (either regular students or adult students) is unlimited. The total limit for one topic is 40 contestants.
Clothing specification: Relevant to the topic and haircut, stylish and including accessories.
Conditions: The required hair length must be sufficient for the change to be visible (at least 2 cm longer than the final haircut).
Topic: Modern men’s haircut
Work procedure: No limits
Usage of tools: No limits
Criteria: No limits
To be evaluated: Quality, style and the level of work with scissors. Level and quality of the haircut. Connections between individual parts and techniques used. Final styling.
If any of these criteria are not adhered to, it may affect the score or it could mean a disqualification of the contestant.

Glamor 1920
(Make-up competition)
Completion time: 60 minutes (Adults, post-secondary studies)
Construction time: 60 minutes + 10 min. (students 1-4 years)
Topic description:
100 years of beauty and charm. The 20s of the last century brought amazing artistic, cultural and technological advances, but life then looked quite different from today. The fashion world of the 1920s was dominated by luxury fabrics, "flapper girls" silhouettes and the art-deco style. The fashion was characterized by tassels, "loose" fabrics and charming details, thanks to which the inspiration of the 20th year constantly complements fashion trends. The world of the 1920s was influenced by events after the First World War, the Spanish flu pandemic, the suffragette movement, jazz music and Charleston, or the era of silent film and the stars of the silver screen.
The make-up of the 1920s started the cosmetics industry. It was supposed to evoke the illusion of a femme fatale - the appearance of a movie star. The 1920s woman was the first to create an "artificial face" - wavy short bob, ivory matte skin, scarlet lips, thin accented eyebrows and smoky eyes framed by a dark line.
Even if it is a precisely specified theme, there are no limits to the imagination. The task of the contestants is to create makeup inspired by the 1920s.
Tank tops:
To enhance the makeup of the eyes and lips, the skin should be dull, lightened and uniform, complemented by rounder cheeks in reddish tones.
Eyes / Eyelashes:
Emphasis is placed especially on perfectly technically developed smoky eye make-up, which are colored and interestingly tuned with the entire make-up. The lids are dominated by shades of gray, green, blue or turquoise. Eye make-up in the 1920s was more pronounced, which was achieved by framing the eye with a black kajal line blurred. Of course, the use of black mascara and thin eyebrows highlighted with a black or brown pencil.
If artificial single-row or tufted algae are used, they must be applied only on the stage.
Lips:
Emphasis is placed on the technical elaboration of the lips, defining the shape of the lips, incorporating lipsticks of any shade of the red scale. Lips in the 1920s created the illusion of a heart and narrowed optically in width.
Hair / Nails
The model has her hair and nails trimmed before the competition. The hairstyle must fit the theme and should complete the overall impression. Various hairstyles and hair accessories can be used.
The clothes
Clothing, footwear and accessories must be adapted to the theme.
All make-up products and decorative materials corresponding to the theme are allowed.
It is forbidden to:
The model must not have permanent make-up, 3D eyelashes or other artificial eyelashes applied before the competition.
The use of airbrushes, stencils and adhesive tape is prohibited.
Instructions:
The model enters the stage, made off with moisturizer and a raincoat.
It is the duty of each competitor to enter the competition with clean brushes and other aids, which the jury will check before starting work, otherwise the competitor may be penalized.
There are only things on the tables to work. Hygiene and order at work are important.
